Henry Jernigan
Just over a year after getting married, Henry and his wife Elizabeth found out they were going to have a baby. Soon after, they learned their son “Pierce” would be born with Spina Bifida…a neurological condition involving the incomplete development of the baby’s spinal cord. As doctors laid out all of the medical implications, including the probability that Pierce would never walk, Henry and Elizabeth were offered the option of terminating their pregnancy. Instead, they rejected the abortion route and chose to trust God with their child’s unknown circumstances, in what Henry describes as an almost “numb faith.”
Six years later, Henry is sharing his inspirational story about the love, plan and purpose God offers each of us through unpredictable situations. While drawing his audience into the raw and revealing circumstances of his family’s life, Henry uses humor to passionately challenge his audience to LIVE! You’ll laugh and cry as Henry walks you through Pierce’s remarkable journey full of trials and “unknowns” that continue to this day, but you’ll leave inspired with a fresh and new perspective on life.
His presentation the night of the event was perfect. He was funny and yet his testimony was inspiring. I would encourage all of my brothers & sisters in Christ who work with pregnancy centers to check him out. He was wonderful!!

Henry Jernigan quickly moved us from tears to laughter during his heartwarming message about putting life into perspective and knowing the plan God has for each of us.
