Beth Holloway
Beth Holloway Background
“This is the story no one should have to tell about the nightmare no one should have to live, told by the parent no one wants to be.”
When Natalee Holloway vanished in Aruba on the last night of her high school graduation trip her mother, Beth Holloway, vowed never to give up searching for her. As reported recently in the news, Beth’s prayers were finally answered when a Dutch investigative reporter obtained a taped confession from the lead suspect, and the world learned once and for all who was responsible for Natalee’s disappearance. It has been a long and painful journey for Beth, but through her faith and the outpouring of love and support from all over the world, she has been able to persevere.
Beth Holloway is on a mission. Her goal is to deliver a message of hope, faith and personal safety to young adults, parents and travelers of all ages all across the United States. To date, she has presented her message to tens of thousands of students and parents alike in high schools, colleges, churches, conventions and other venues. As an advocate for victims’ rights as well as an educator, Beth continues to work on educating the public on safer travel through her International Safe Travels Foundation. Currently, a curriculum-based study, spearheaded by Beth, is in its second year at Auburn University in Alabama where study-abroad students are required to take the course before leaving the country. The next goal is for this safe travels course to be made available in high schools, then ultimately available to the traveling public on an interactive CD.
Author of “Loving Natalee,” Beth has recently completed a nationwide book tour. Her book takes readers through her personal journey and gives many insights into what happened in Aruba, sharing facts and details that have never been made public before. “Loving Natalee” is now available in bookstores everywhere. If you brought your copy with you, Beth will be happy to sign it for you after her presentation.
By her own account Beth has lived a quiet, somewhat uneventful life. That all changed quite dramatically in the summer of 2005 when Natalee disappeared. This tragic story became the leading news mystery in 2005, and continues to make headlines today. Beth has appeared on every television network in the nation including ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, FOX, MSNBC and CNBC, and in numerous national and international magazine and newspaper articles. Barbara Walters selected Beth as one of the world’s most fascinating people for her perseverance in seeking answers to what happened to her daughter.
